Dr. Stephanie Mazzucca is a research assistant professor at the Prevention Research Center in the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research interests include 1) healthy eating and physical activity promotion; 2) measurement of health behaviors and organizational environments; and 3) the efficient dissemination of evidence-based programs and policies into practice. She earned a PhD in nutrition intervention and policy and a minor in epidemiology from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Her training has focused on the development and evaluation of evidence-based interventions within organizational (i.e., child care settings) and home settings to prevent chronic diseases (e.g., obesity, diabetes, cancer). During her time at Washington University in St. Louis, she has expanded to a focus on dissemination and implementation research to develop and communicate methods to improve the translation of research into practice.
